Over fifty local artists and artisans, mostly from Three Rivers, but also from surrounding communities in Tulare County, come to share their handiwork for the Holiday Season. They include herbal wreath-makers, gourd artists, weavers, photographers, jewelers, oil painters, lathe-turners, clay sculptors, seamstresses, and just plain, fun ornament makers. The Senior League has dedicated members who call themselves “Gleaners” who gather local fruit and nuts to share, including kiwis, pomegranates, and walnuts. Other Senior League members make homemade jams from some of the Gleaner’s harvests.

The Holiday Bazaar brings back the experience of coming to a small town handicraft market, along with its recycled, eclectic treasures on long tables, gathered by the Seniors, and always fun to explore. The scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls wafts through the atmosphere of the building, drawing people along the curved path to the huge, open wall in the back. Homemade soups provided by volunteers from the Bread Basket, give people a great excuse to share lunch with their neighbors.

A fun raffle and art auction is held throughout the day, with donations coming from the participating artists and local Three Rivers businesses.

Participation as an artisan is very simple, and requires a very modest booth fee. Tables are also provided for the booths upon request.

Members of the Senior League conduct the raffle and art auction.
